Trigeminal Nerve & Facial Pain

Do you have pain in your face that has not explained?

Do you experience any of the following?

• Unexplained facial pain

• Persistent tooth pain after dental treatment

• Facial or tooth pain following an injury or accident

• Sharp, electric shock-like pain

• Burning, tingling, or numbness in the face

• Pain triggered by eating, talking, brushing your teeth, or touching your face

These symptoms may be related to conditions such as trigeminal neuralgia, painful trigeminal neuropathy, or other facial pain disorders. A comprehensive evaluation is essential to determine the underlying cause and develop the most effective treatment plan.

Treatment options may include:

• Medication management

• Peripheral trigeminal nerve blocks

• Sphenopalatine ganglion (SPG) block

• Botox® injections (for selected conditions)

• Collaboration with neurologists, neurosurgeons, ENT physicians, and your general dentist as appropriate

Our philosophy

Our goal is to accurately diagnose the source of your pain and provide personalized, evidence-based treatment to improve your quality of life.

Not all facial pain is trigeminal neuralgia. We specialize in diagnosing complex facial pain conditions to ensure you receive the most appropriate treatment.

When necessary, additional imaging such as a brain MRI may be recommended to rule out neurological conditions. MRI studies are performed at accredited local imaging centers, and we will coordinate the referral for you.
